Continuum

London / Mexico City, 2013

Steel, Timber, PCB, White LED, Code. 83 x 94 x 4cm

Taking a closer look into the dual nature of light as both particle and wave, Continuum was born out of studies into interference; interacting waves that are refracted by the environment and spaces we occupy.

Individual light units are orchestrated to create shifting patterns of light and shadow, which fluidly take shape within the artwork and reveal its complexity. Continuum takes the idea of interfering fields, and attempts to reapply it outside the confinements of physics, to merge the visible and invisible and to observe the complex fringes of order.
