Assuming an anthropomorphic form, the exposed inner mechanics of Al produce random ‘hand-written’ scripts offered to the passing viewer. On each paper slip appears a proverb, words of advice or instruction, to guide the recipient in times of need. "Saturday's child is forearmed” or “The age of miracles is lost” present themselves (or don’t) as words of wisdom, inciting us to rationalise their gravity and diffuse the emotional content onto non-emotional entity.

This work reflects the human desire to associate and attach meaning where there is seemingly none. A fundamental need that continues to define us as we face a new age of coexistence.
