Artwise Curators gave 16 internationally recognised artists and designers the iconic WWF panda-shaped collecting boxes to use as a vehicle to increase awareness of our world’s fragility in the 21st Century, and to raise funds for the charity’s continued environmental conservation work. UVA’s contribution, ‘Frozen in Time’, is a window into the delicate and ephemeral moment of a glistening representation of the WWF mascot.
UVA recreated the panda in ice, then allowed it to melt in their studio. This single image remains – the only record of its existence.

To celebrate the 5th anniversary issue, 5 artists were commissioned to reinterpret the iconic ‘T’ for the cover of the New York Times Style Magazine. The selected artists were Frank Gehry, Jenny Holzer, Jeff Koons and Tom Hingston Studio & United Visual Artists. The Tom Hingston & UVA collaboration has an accompanying film online, featuring music by Mira Calix.
